Dane Taival

Dane Taival is the vice president and general manager for the Transport Solutions North America business, a unit of Ingersoll Rand and strategic brand known as Thermo King. Taival leads an organization of more than 1,600 employees throughout North America and has responsibility for setting and executing the business strategy and ensuring delivery of its operational and financial commitments. He assumed this position in July 2015 and also serves as a member of the Thermo King Leadership team. 

Taival has been with Ingersoll Rand for more than 25 years, the majority of which were spent with Trane – North America, a leading global provider of indoor comfort systems and services. 

His most recent position was vice president of Building Services and Customer Care where he was responsible for leading innovation-driven growth for the Trane Building Services business. While there, he built a successful track record in strategic and operational planning, building strong customer relationships, generating organizational transformation, and driving positive business performance. 

Taival earned a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Minnesota and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Wisconsin. He is a registered professional engineer and certified energy manager.
