Bob oversees the technical support teams for the VELYS RAS knee robotics, Sports Medicine (Mitek), and Teligen Spine divisions within J&J MedTech Orthopedics Capital Service Operations. His teams are dedicated to enhancing patients' lives by delivering technical support and logistical expertise for a diverse range of surgical capital equipment, including Knee Replacement systems, Spine Surgical Robotics, Spine Surgical Assisted Towers, Sports Medicine devices, and Surgical Power Tools. Through these high-quality and innovative surgical products, we strive to "Keep People Moving" by improving mobility with our orthopedic surgical equipment.
Bob's professional background is varied, encompassing capital medical devices, medical support services, compliance and audit expertise across multiple business formats, aesthetic sales, and startup ventures. Prior to his tenure at J&J MedTech Orthopedics, he headed the Alcon Vision Northeast US Service & Sales team, which provided technical emergency services for laser devices used in Cataract and Refractive Surgery. In this role, Bob focused on enhancing overall service performance and business outcomes, which included boosting customer satisfaction, service readiness, and service revenue, ultimately leading to greater profitability.
With extensive experience in medical device services, Bob has spent over 23 years with J&J Advanced Sterilization Products (ASP), where he joined at the company's inception in 1995. He played a crucial role in establishing a best-in-class service organization, holding various leadership positions, including Interim Service Director. Throughout his career at J&J, Bob was recognized as Manager of the Year for 12 consecutive years due to his exceptional contributions to customer satisfaction and revenue growth.
After his time at J&J, he joined a startup called Noxilizer as the Sr. Director of Technical and Customer Service, where he built the customer support and technical departments, as well as the Manufacturing department. Later, he served as Sr. Director of Operations at STERIS, where he improved service delivery efficiencies by addressing quality issues, which enhanced customer satisfaction and increased revenue. During this period, he also earned a Yellow Belt in Lean Six Sigma from Dartmouth. Bob holds an Associate’s Degree in Electronics Engineering and a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management. \
Currently, Bob lives in West Palm Beach, Florida, with his wife, Lisa, and their two dogs.
